Kingsgate’s Holly Holiday Season Pt. 2

Christmas is in two days and today marks the start of Chanukah! We love celebrating the holidays at Kingsgate! In fact, I wrote this blog last year about celebrating the holiday season with the Kingsgate Family and, while many of these things are becoming traditions, I wanted to provide a recap of our celebrations.

THE EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY CELEBRATION

Last Thursday, Kingsgate hosted our 3rd annual holiday gathering at TopGolf to share food, drinks and participate in some golfing. With having opened two new locations in 2019, we find importance in bringing the entire Kingsgate Family together, which sometimes puts a face to names our employees work with, but may not have had the opportunity to meet in person yet. Then for our other employees, it’s a chance to reconnect and deepen their relationships by spending time together outside of the office. Celebrating with one another is an important way we remind our team how thankful my siblings and I are for their hard work! THE SEASON OF GIVING CELEBRATION

We also celebrate the holidays by paying it forward during the season of giving! This year, our team collected canned goods for the University of Cincinnati’s Bearcat Student Pantry, an organization that provides UC Bearcats free food, hygiene items, cleaning supplies and professional clothing to students of all backgrounds with food and other insecurities. We wanted to continue our team’s efforts by matching their donations can for can.

In addition, we were blessed with the best gift of all from our team – a donation on our behalf to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As most of you know, we lost our dad to leukemia. He would be so moved and so proud that our team honored our family and his legacy of giving back to beat the horrific disease that took him from us way too soon. I'm humbled by this wonderful gesture.

THE GIFT EXCHANGE CELEBRATION

Lastly, we had our ugly sweater contest and exchanged Secret Santa gifts last week. The gift exchange and sweater contest are always one of my favorite days with the Kingsgate Fam. It’s always so fun to spend the afternoon sharing slices of pizza and exchanging gifts. It’s amazing to see the smiles and laughter that consume the room when our team gets together.

The end of the year is always a stressful and hectic time. Celebrating with our team helps keep Kingsgate motivated and engaged. As we go into a short week, I want to wish all our readers Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year!
