As I sat thinking about what today’s blog should be about, I kept coming back to the note I made on Friday:

As things with COVID-19 continue to progress, we feel the importance of keeping store shelves stocked, first responders equipped and hospitals prepped with medical supplies. These measures are crucial to keep the nation moving forward. As the American Transportation Association shared in this blog, “as our nation bands together to tackle this challenging road ahead, we must recognize the vital role of truckers in maintaining society's most essential functions. We urge shippers and receivers to treat them with the courtesy, dignity and respect they deserve. We call on government officials to provide them with the flexibility and resources they need to get the job done.”

Over the next few weeks and more than ever, I urge you to #ThankATrucker. At Kingsgate, we want to thank every single one of our carriers for tackling one of our economy’s most challenging and essential jobs, especially in these trying times. You are the underappreciated heroes and our world could not function without you!
