Father’s Day in Quotes

Yesterday, June 20^th, was the first day of summer and Father’s Day; the combination of both made for a wonderful day spent outside with family. I was blessed to have had my kids and grandpuppy over to swim, made ribs on my new Traeger and spend the day with everyone! After all, they’re why I’m especially celebrated on Father’s Day aside from just celebrating my dad and the various dads in my life.

Fatherhood is easily the biggest blessing and most important role I’ve ever taken on, while at times being the most challenging. Once I became a dad, it made me appreciate all the things our dad (and founder) did for Amy, David and me. Dad was my coach – in EVERYTHING – and he was my very best friend! He taught me everything I know and as we got older, he was the best at bringing us together. Dad would always bring Amy, David and me over with all the grandkids to swim and grill out. I am still learning from him even today… yesterday, I was able to do the exact same thing for my kids – have them over to swim and grill out.

Learning how to be a dad and how to be a great dad was something I looked to my dad and the many amazing fathers around me for. There’s no guidebook to fatherhood, no specific path and to paraphrase a quote, “there is no way to be a perfect parent but a million ways to be a good one."
