MEET BRAD – KINGSGATE’S DAYTON SALES OFFICE LEADER

October 15 2018

As many of our Kingsgate fans and readers know in the next few months we will be opening our first satellite office in Dayton, Ohio – in the Austin Landing area. Just last week Brad McCaleb joined the Kingsgate Family. When our Dayton office opens Brad will be leading and developing our Dayton sales team. Brad joins Kingsgate with over a decade of experience in the logistics industry in various levels of the industry. I asked Brad a few questions and want to introduce everyone to the newest member of the Kingsgate Family.

1. Tell me a bit about your background.

I was born and raised in the south outside of Memphis, TN and attended the University of Tennessee. I have spent the last 18 years in sales, logistics, and warehousing.

2. How long have you worked in sales and logistics?

I began my career with Enterprise Rent-A-Car/ Truck and advanced into management from that point. We moved to Cincinnati (my wife’s hometown) to start with TQL. It was a young company then and really enjoyed the atmosphere and chance to help a company really grow. I spent about 9 years there in sales and sales leadership. I have spent the last 4 years working with a material handling company selling forklifts, and warehousing solutions. It gave me an understanding of the other side of the dock doors to see how companies go about production, warehousing, and movement of their products. Logistics has always been interesting to me as each day brings a new challenge and a chance to help companies improve.

3. How do you hope to bolster Kingsgate’s growth with your involvement here?

I hope to bring all the experience and knowledge from not only logistics but also warehousing and production to help our new sales staff build and find their path to help Kingsgate grow into newer and higher levels.

4. What are your thoughts about heading up the Dayton office? What excites you? What challenges do you see ahead?

Dayton is a great town with lots of potential for growth. Austin Landing is a great area that is booming, and should offer a great atmosphere for those willing to take the challenge to help our new satellite office become a shining star for the Kingsgate brand. Logistics will always have challenges but a new market with fresh talent should enable us to grow and have some fun along the way.

5. What’s one thing you’ve learned about Kingsgate since working here that surprised you?

The biggest thing I have noticed is just the friendly and warm atmosphere that has greeted me this week. Everyone has been great in reaching out, introducing themselves and making me feel welcome. It is so refreshing to walk in the doors and feel at home so quickly.
