KINGSGATE’S THANK YOU NOTE THURSDAYS

April 16 2018

In the age of digitization, purposeful and meaningful interpersonal communication has become more of a rarity. Taking the extra steps to give someone your time in whatever sense has become a gift.  Thank you notes are arguably the simplest way to give a family member, friend, business partner, customer, etc. a bit of your time. Receiving a thank you note means more than you’d think and it’s a powerful way to show your appreciation – and it only takes five minutes (or less) of your time.

That’s why Kingsgate implemented Thank You Note Thursday for our sales brokers team. The brokers are encouraged to send thank you notes to our dedicated carriers and both loyal current and prospective clients. We want our brokers to take the time out of their day to show our customers and carriers that we appreciate the time they take out of their day to work with us. In addition, our broker’s thank you notes also…

SHOW GENUINE APPRECIATION

Writing a hand-written card is one way to show your clients and business associates you truly care about working with them. It’s an easy expression of gratitude that is centered around them.  It gives you the opportunity to mention things you noticed or remembered from previous conversations and continues your relationship in a genuine, feel-good way.

HELP YOU STICK OUT FROM THE COMPETITION

A hand-written thank you stands out from the standard email or text – they stand out because they don’t get sent as often as they should. They also are actually read (and sometimes kept) by the receiver and your name and your company has a positive correlation for the next time you reach out. Thank you’s shouldn’t be requesting business, just simply used to say thank you, add details of previous conversations and for sending a business card or contact info. It’s one step beyond what’s expected and that’s memorable.

ARE GOOD FOR YOU

Lastly, thank you notes also feel good to write. It’s nice to know you’ve possibly made someone’s day and you did the right thing by sending thanks for their work and time. On top of that, because thank you’s help you stand out you also have the opportunity to grow your business. You appear more favorably because you’ve visibly made the effort to grow a relationship and even if you aren’t able to do business with a particular client, your reputation is positive and open for future endeavors!

Sending thanks of any kind is a simple but effective way to create better relationships and show appreciation and gratitude.

All the Best,

Jeff Beckham
