Kingsgate Transportation + Logistics is proud to be recognized as the Preeminent Family Business, Winning the 18th Annual 2017 Goering Center Family & Private Business Award.

Northern Kentucky – Cincinnati, Ohio September 18, 2017 – Kingsgate Transportation + Logistics is now the reigning recipient of the 2017 Goering Center Family & Private Business Award for Family Businesses with 26-100 employees. This annual honor is bestowed upon only one company each year; this exemplifies what family and private business is and should be.

Kingsgate is an industry leading, third-party logistics provider. Proudly owned and operated by three generations of the Beckham family for over 30 years. Founded in October 1986 by Merry and Tom Beckham, Kingsgate is a privately held Women’s Business Enterprise who started with three fairly basic principles – hard work, exemplary service and highest integrity. Remaining grounded by these founding principles, while also continually advancing with investments in quality staff, technology, and communications.

This annual recognition program, in its 18th year, honors Cincinnati regional businesses that exemplify the best in family and private business practices.  Each year over 500 businesses apply for these awards.  The Kingsgate Transportation + Logistics was evaluated by an independent panel of judges who reviewed applications as they relate to the Goering Center’s 10 Best Practices, business success and their positive impact on the community.

After being named one of only 75 Semi-Finalists, the Kingsgate Transportation + Logistics was then selected as the best of the best for Family Businesses with 26-100 employees.  In addition, the JTM Food Group was named to the Goering Center Family Business Hall of Fame and Mary Miller, JANCOA, was titled the 2017 Baldwin Award Winner for their dedication and service to the Goering Center.

The Kingsgate Transportation + Logistics is one of an estimated 4,500 family and private businesses in the Cincinnati region; the Goering Center has 330 of these businesses as active members with a goal of 400 members by the end of 2018.  Membership is not a prerequisite for the awards or for nomination, as fewer than half of the semi-finalists are current Goering Center members.
