OUR EMPLOYEE’S TAKE ON FC CINCINNATI’S #CINCYGOESBLUE

August 06 2018

This past Saturday, ten members of the Kingsgate family went down to cheer on FC Cincinnati in their match against Nashville. Although it wasn’t the result we had hoped for, with FC Cincinnati and Nashville SC tying 1 – 1 and a brief rain delay, our team still had a blast. We were also able to allow four of our employees to go down on the field and do the official coin flip for the game.I wanted to share their experience with all of you.

  1. ARE YOU A SOCCER FAN OR AN FCC FAN BEFORE THE GAME?

Lindsey R. – This was my second FC game! I have been a soccer fan for a very long time. I enjoy the energy of the crowd at the FC games.

Brad H. – This was my first FCC game.  I was raised in a diehard baseball family growing up and I would not consider myself an FCC fan at all.  My daughter has played soccer for 4 years, the last 2 years select so I am a huge fan of her.

Megan V. – This was my first FCC game, I played soccer for 12 years as a kid. I was a big FCC fan before the game, and even more so after the game.

Roman Z. – This was my first FCC game and the first soccer match I’ve ever attended.  Truth be told I was not a soccer fan prior to this.  Growing up Jersey, everything was football or baseball. Soccer was an afterthought sport and you only played it because you couldn’t make the cut in other sports. FCC instantly changed my thoughts on that!

  1. WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE AT THE FCC GAME LIKE?

Lindsey R. – The atmosphere is loud and fun. The crowd is very into game! Everyone is packed in like sardines in stadium, and to see them all jumping around and cheering when we scored was such a fun experience!

Brad H. – I had a great time, the game was exciting, the crowd was electric.  There were no down times in the game.  Its nonstop from start to finish.

Megan V. – It was incredible, the energy never died down the whole game!! From before the game to after the game all the fans were totally engaged and having a blast. I will most definitely be going back to another game.

Roman Z. – Having never been to an FC game before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Everyone I interacted with from staff to a few players to the officials were all professional.

  1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU THAT KINGSGATE HAS OPPORTUNITIES LIKE THIS FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES?

Lindsey R. – I truly enjoy getting the opportunity to get to attend events like this. It improves the morale of our employees when we have fun giveaways to events like this.

Brad H. –  I am so glad I got to experience this with my daughter and so thankful for Kingsgate Logistics.  Without them I would have never experienced this, from being on the field pregame to the coin toss.

Megan V. – It means the world to me that my company would give me this once in a lifetime opportunity. I cant thank them enough for this experience. Never did I think I would be able to flip the coin at a professional soccer game, I felt like royalty.

Roman Z. –  Part of the Kingsgate culture centers around each employee being a part of a family. When these extra perks are offered, they are putting that idea into action and showing that they really do care.

  1. WHAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE GAME?

Lindsey R. – The best part was to spend time with my co-workers outside of work in a fun and relaxing event. It was great to get to meet peoples family/friends and have a good time!

Brad H. – The best part of the game was simply being there with my daughter who is a huge soccer fan.  FCC definitely won me over and I think I will be going to many more games with my kids in the days and years to come.

Megan V. – The best part was FCC scored the first point in the first 30 seconds of the game. That and getting to be so close to the players, they were super nice and encouraged pictures. The whole place made me feel so welcomed.

Roman Z. – Being in attendance for the fastest goal in FC history was something to remember.  My biggest takeaway though, is the passion and dedication of the fan base.  You can’t help but feel that energy and want to be a part of the atmosphere.
