BEST PLACE TO WORK IN CINCINNATI AND DAYTON: A NOTE TO OUR TEAM

To All Members of Our Kingsgate Team –

Best Place to Work in both Dayton and Cincinnati…and this year, the only logistics company to win in either region – WOW! How exciting and what a tribute to our great organization!

Last week several of you sent texts, and last Thursday, many of you congratulated me on our award. But after letting this soak in for a while, it struck me that this is OUR award. All the partners and each one of you, share in this great moment in our company’s rich history.

Many of you know my penchant for “Jeff-isms” – as my daughter calls them – when I like to toss out a quote of inspiration; one of my favorites is to quote Vince Lombardi, Super Bowl-winning coach of the Green Bay Packers. Off the field, Lombardi would often speak to corporations on leadership, effort, and character. Companies across the globe would bring him in to address their employees to inspire them to greatness.  Among my many favorite Lombardi quotes is, “[T]he achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.”

Winning an award, like Best Places to Work, or the Family Business of the Year or any other accolade that may come our way, is a direct result of each one of us, our combined efforts, and our own unique contributions to the team. A company with a team that looks out for and cares for one another and a company that looks out for the best for its customers and vendors is a company that will always win.

The owning partners, believe that it is our responsibility to provide both the opportunity and the inspiration for each of you to achieve to your highest level. We know that by being true to our mission and vision and holding one another accountable to each, Kingsgate will continue to grow and prosper and that we will all continue to share in the company’s successes.

So, from each one of the partners, thank you for your efforts and your contributions to making Kingsgate indeed the Best Place to Work!  Congratulations to us all!
