FIRST ANNUAL KINGSGATE SPIRIT WEEK

Hello! This is Hannah, Kingsgate’s Marketing Specialist, filling in for Jeff Beckham. Jeff was out of the office last week, and he (regrettably) missed our first annual Kingsgate Spirit Week. Last summer, we celebrated the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics in the office. It was such a great bonding experience, and we had so much fun. We knew we needed to find a way to bring our whole office

together every year, and Spirit Week was born.

Events like Spirit Week remind me of some of my favorite things about Kingsgate:

• People here love competition
  • It’s part of Kingsgate’s foundation. We’ve always had a desire to be the best . This trait manifests into the competitive drive seen during Spirit Week. The competition started on Monday morning, and it was great to see our team so excited to come into work. Everyone couldn’t wait to participate and find hidden puzzle pieces, play Two Truths & A Lie, or participate in an intense game of “balloon tennis.”
• Employees enjoy getting to know each other
  • Jeff always talks about our rapid growth and the importance of getting to know the people that join the Kingsgate Family. Last week, we had two new employees start and join Spirit Week teams – they didn’t know what they were signing up for, but they had a blast. People across departments got to learn more about each other and work together face to face.
• The Kingsgate Family is always willing to help
  • Spirit Week was in full swing by the end of the month, one of our busiest times at Kingsgate. At first, I thought it would be challenging for people to participate in the games. Instead, it just exemplified the support our staff shows each other. Co-workers picked-up the slack when they could tell someone needed a break, and the games gave people a reason to get up from their desk and relax, recharge before they got back to work.

We ended the week with a big Kingsgate Cookout and got to meet our co-workers’ friends and family. It was a perfect opportunity to have our Kingsgate Family meet members of our real family. Last week was a wonderful reminder of why Kingsgate is a great place to work!
