SPONSORSHIPS TURN STRANGERS TO SUPPORTERS

July 10 2017

Anyone who knows me knows I’m a big sports fan, so when the opportunity arises to partner with local teams as a corporate sponsor, I have a hard time saying no. My friends might think I’m such a willing sponsor so I have another excuse to go to more games (which may be part of it). But in reality, partnering with a professional sports team is a great way for Kingsgate to give back to our community.

Sports offer loyalty, entertainment, passion and diversity. The relationship between Kingsgate and the organizations we sponsor benefits both parties. For example, our partnership with FC Cincinnati allowed us to initiate a Twitter giveaway contest for some FC Cincy “swag”. We ended up reaching over 26,700 fans. Sponsorships can strategically increase both brand awareness and company morale. We were proud to give away t-shirts, scarves, koozies and sunglasses to the FC enthusiasts who showed their support for Kingsgate. The relationships we’ve built with fans and FC staff has been an easy and supportive business partnership.

The same day as our FC giveaway, we were able to treat some of our customers to a suite view of the Cincinnati Reds v. Brewers baseball game at Great American Ballpark. While the previously mentioned brand awareness is an amazing benefit of sponsorships, we’re so grateful for the chance to show our clients our appreciation for their commitment to Kingsgate.

Whether it’s on the field or in the private sector, there will always be intense competition to be the best. It’s part of why I’m invested in sports – the competitive edge reminds me to grow my business in a way that is both honest and credible. We are able to be brand ambassadors and experience victories together. The people I have met in stadiums have turned from strangers to supporters. Through Kingsgate’s sponsorships, we’ve been able to support activities that are enjoyable and memorable for athletes, audiences, and participants.

All the Best,

Jeff Beckham
