BUCKEYE BBQ FEST 2017 – WHAT’S THERE & WHY YOU SHOULD GO

First, the basics to fill you in: The Rotary Club of West Chester/Liberty’s Buckeye BBQ Fest is Friday, May 19th 5:00 -11:00 pm and Saturday, May 20th 12:00-11:00 pm at the square at Union Center. Admission is five dollars for patrons and free for volunteers. To volunteer click here. It’s going to be a fantastic event to attend with family and friends.

What will be there?

• BBQ & Beer
  • It’s a barbeque festival, so expect delicious food. There will be 15 BBQ vendors and 50 merchandise and food vendors on top of that. There’s something to please everyone’s taste buds.
  • As any great festival would have, there will be 99 kegs of beer, including: MadTree, Breckenridge, Budweiser, Devil’s Backbone, Municipal, Yuengling. Not a beer drinker? There will be white and red wine available as well (picked out by yours truly).
• Music
  • Friday and Saturday will be filled with fantastic blues music from around the country. Southern Avenue, from Memphis, TN will headline on Friday, and Saturday will feature The Noah Wotherspoon Band from our very own Cincinnati, OH.
• Activities
  • The Buckeye BBQ Fest will also have an open club car show (must register) Friday and a classic car and hot rod show Saturday. If you’re bringing your kids, there will be a Kids Zone with activities and a Petting Zoo on Saturday. There’s a lot to do and try.

Why you should go? (If above wasn’t enough reason)

• Sponsor the Rotary Club
  • All the proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of West Chester/Liberty, which in turn benefits the local community. This event will support organizations like Reach Out Lakota, One Way Farm, Boy Scouts, Big Brother/Big Sister, as well as benefiting families and students from the West Chester Liberty area. The Rotary Club’s amazing work is why we sponsor them through Kingsgate Gives Back.
• Have Fun with Friends and Family
  • There’s so much to do at the BBQ Fest. There’s an event, music, food and drinks to interest anyone. Take the time to enjoy the (hopefully) nice weather, spend some time with loved ones and benefit a great organization.
