BEHIND KINGSGATE’S BENEFITS: WHY OUR COMPENSATION PACKAGE IS A STAPLE OF OUR LEGACY

There are things in life you can prepare for and things you can’t. Health problems are some of the things you can’t always prepare for… as much as you might try. You don’t envision getting a call that your daughter fell off her bike and broke her arm. Then finding out she had to stay in Children’s hospital for 5 days to make sure she didn’t need surgery. Or, sending your son to baseball practice and him coming home with a broken nose, but sometimes it happens and you take care of those problems as they arise. Growing up my family had its fair share of run-ins with surgeries, broken bones and many trips to the doctor. Both of our parents worked very hard but with three active kids (especially David and I) and my dad’s health care crisis (multiple knee implants, gallbladder removal, 3rd-degree burns) the bills would never stop rolling in. So, when my parents started Kingsgate they made it a priority to pay off all their debts and make Kingsgate’s health care coverage the best it could be. My siblings and I have kept that tradition. We want to ensure that Kingsgate employees can focus on keeping their family happy and healthy, not worried about how things are going to get paid for.

Beyond healthcare we want Kingsgate employees to have work-life balance and a way to invest and save for their future. We want the Kingsgate Family to spend their time off with their family and not worried about work. We want the Kingsgate Family to be able to provide for their families more than with their salaries and save so they can achieve their life goals. Therefore, we provide ample company paid sick-time and vacation-time for our team and have implemented a 401(k)-match program that allows our employees to maximize their savings.
