A BRAND NEW KINGSGATE

August 28 2017

If you’re familiar with the Kingsgate brand, you may notice some pretty drastic changes to our website and branding over the next few weeks. As we navigate these changes, I wanted to share my thoughts behind our rebrand.

Kingsgate is in the business of movement. We find ways for businesses to move goods faster, safer and smarter. We are a company that prides itself on constantly evolving to be experts in our industry, and this decision to rebrand follows that tradition. Many of you know that Kingsgate has grown and changed significantly throughout the past two years. We’ve added members to our team, created new departments and moved office buildings. With all these changes, we realized the time was right to redevelop our brand and reflect both the new additions to Kingsgate while holding true to the legacy of our foundation.

To that end, we have created the seventh iteration of our company logo and look to change our name for the fourth time in 31 years. What many don’t know is that the third-party logistics industry is still in its relative infancy. As a result of the Motor Carrier Act of 1980, the industry exploded from seven licensed freight brokers to nearly 20,000 today. In 37 years, the industry has evolved from transactional freight brokers, to where 3PLs are integral partners in their clients’ supply chain strategies.

Our new compass logo reflects our commitment to our customers, and our promise to help them navigate the challenges of the transportation industry, and move confidently. Each arrow within the compass stands to represent the restless movement through collaboration, relationships, and technology Kingsgate moves into the future with. Our new company name will use “Logistics” the primary nomenclature of the industry allowing us to better position ourselves in the industry.

Additionally, with new customers, carriers, and employees visiting our website, we wanted to make it easier for people to navigate and find what they’re looking for and our website will be revised and updated in September.

In this rising and competitive industry evolving is essential to growing our business. Simply put, we are never satisfied. We’re constantly searching for a better way, a better solution. At Kingsgate, we ask ourselves every day, what can we improve? How can we work more effectively? How can we deliver “more” faster, and more seamlessly? Because the minute we are satisfied is the minute we stop being Kingsgate.

We look forward to where this change will take Kingsgate and appreciate your support throughout this transition process.

All the Best,

Jeff Beckham
